On January 18, Jews around the world mark Operation Dugo by eating falafel in memory of Holocaust survivor David “Dugo” Leitner, z'l.
After surviving the Auschwitz death march, Dugo made a personal commitment to eat falafel each year on this date — a simple but powerful act of remembrance honoring his family and the millions of victims of the Holocaust. What began as a private ritual has grown into a meaningful international tradition, embraced by Jewish communities around the world.
We invite you to join us by purchasing falafel and making a donation in honor of Operation Dugo, with proceeds supporting the OHT Bnei Akiva. Together, we can remember, honor, and strengthen the next generation.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful mitzvah.
